Pirate Scholarship & Hardship Fund

No Pirate should have to sit out because of cost. This fund helps qualifying students cover band fees, uniform costs, instrument rentals, method books, and trip participation when circumstances at home make it difficult.

How it works

  • · Applications are reviewed confidentially by a small board committee.
  • · Awards are made on a needs basis and can be full or partial.
  • · Funds are paid directly to the program, vendor, or trip account — never as cash.
  • · There is no shame in asking. Every family hits a hard year at some point.

Why not "Sponsor a Student"?

As a 501(c)(3) organization we cannot earmark tax-deductible donations for one specific student by name. Instead, donors fund the Scholarship & Hardship Fund as a whole, and the board awards support to students who apply — the same way a scholarship program works.
